The main purpose of the initial Client Meeting is for us to meet you at your home to understand what you would like to achieve from your project and for us to review your property.
We will take the time to listen to you and to understand your requirements and discuss ideas with you. We will provide you with various sketches and design ideas for you to think about. We will advise you as best we can and provide you with as much information as possible with regards your plans for your extension so you will know what you can and cannot achieve.
We would advise that you should make some notes to briefly describe your project, possibly produce some sketch plans and for you to understand what you wish to achieve from your project.
Prepare a list of questions ready to ask us and we will do our best to answer them all. For example; Client requirements, aspirations, options, Planning guidance, Building Regulation requirements, timescales to undertake the work and approximate building costs.
After this meeting we would provide for you a quotation for us to take your project forward.
Following this initial meeting we will develop some sketches and advise you of the following:
- A Scope of Works to indicate the forms of construction
- We will discuss your project with the Local Authority Planning Department to determine what type of Planning Application would need to be submitted. Timescales, planning deliverables and to identify any planning risks would also be discussed.
- Following these discussions we would then be able to advise you on the next stages, these being design development, planning submission and a building regulations submission
